Nikita – Founder & Lead Tutor

Hi, I’m Nikita! I am a qualified primary teacher and tutor children from the ages of 3 all the way up to 16 years old in maths, English, reading and other subjects.

I have taught for just over 9 years and have experience in supporting Year 4 pupils with their end of year times-table checks, leading Year 6 SATS Boosters, supported children with passing their 11+ exams and GCSE exams. I love tutoring as it allows me to get to know each child really well and make sure that every lesson is completely adapted to their needs and interests. I am passionate about providing all children with a high-quality education and instilling the belief that they can do anything they set their mind to!

In my lessons, I use lots of praise and encouragement to build confidence and develop a growth mindset. In turn, children feel safe enough to take risks and have a go at any challenges I throw their way. I have a fun, creative and interactive approach to teaching and love to use a variety of strategies such as video, images, games, code-breaking and even a bit of drama! I My aim is to unlock every child’s full potential by making learning as engaging and purposeful as possible.

What are your hobbies?

Outside of tutoring, I’m passionate about learning in all its forms. I’ve recently taken up piano, and I love how it challenges focus, patience, and creativity—skills I bring into my teaching too. I also enjoy baking, which lets me unwind while experimenting with flavours and precision—much like crafting a great lesson plan.

What is a fun fact about you?

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in several countries, including India, Gambia, and England. I’m a huge fan of cats and supernatural shows—if there’s a mysterious plot twist, I’m all in (something I love sharing with the children).

Beverley – Science Tutor (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)

What do you tutor?

Hi, I’m Beverley. I am a qualified science teacher, and I tutor all sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics for 11-16 and Biology for 16–18-year-olds.

Why do you tutor?

I tutor because I believe education can give so many opportunities to students. I am passionate about helping students reach their potential and truly enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and ability. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student grasp a concept they once found difficult and knowing I played a small part in their success.

What’s your style of tutoring?

My teaching style is supportive and interactive. I like to keep the sessions friendly and focused on helping students feel confident in what they are learning. I like to use questioning to get students thinking for themselves. I like to use praise to encourage students and build their confidence. I like to build rapport with my students and thereby create a relaxed, positive environment where learning feels rewarding.

What’s your education / background?

I always enjoyed science in school, after my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, I went on to study a degree in Pharmacology in London. I then went on to do my teacher training at UCL Institute of Education and became a qualified science teacher in 2016. Since then I have taught in many settings and also tutored students, especially those preparing for their gcses. I had experiences in school teaching younger students to read. I remember really enjoying that and that led me to pursue a career in education.

What are your interests?

I love listening to music and enjoy singing. I am part of a choir and really enjoy expressing myself through songs and a cheeky dance here and there.

What is a fun fact about you?

I often get told I look younger than my age and I have two little ones who call me mummy. A 5-year-old and a 2 year old.
